My serenade to the queer filmmakers of San Francisco at BUILT THIS CITY at The Castro Theatre! By no means is this an exhaustive list; the song has only so many bars. So if I …[more]
Fifty years of queer San Francisco. One unforgettable night to celebrate it all.
A historic venue in the heart of a legendary neighborhood, The Castro Theatre has seen a lot. Still, it has never seen a night quite like this one.
San Francisco Pride and Peaches Christ Productions invite you to Built This City: An SF Pride Variety Spectacular. Join us for the official kickoff to Pride 2026, a full-throttle celebration of 50 Years of Queer San Francisco. We're taking over the newly-renovated The Castro for a…[more]
Over the years, you may have seen me like this, playing on streets and in alleys, at rallies and parades, on trains and in parks, and in libraries and museums because . This is what I’ve called my “punk uke”…which I’ve shortened to “𝗣𝗨𝗞𝗘”. Who would have thought that the person deems “San Francisco’s Queer Cinema Poet” would be most associated with vomit?
The next few months are going to see the PUKE setup in various forms. Hopefully you’ll be…[more]
Attack, Decay, Release is coming back to San Francisco as an installation at The Superfair SF for four days from Thursday, 3/19 to Sunday 3/22 with one live solo performance on…[more]

When I was living in Philadelphia, I wrote this song for my niece, Maia, when she was born - knowing that I was going to try to chase my filmmaking career in California and that I’d be spending lots of time away from her.
Today, she turns 21 years old and I want to share this song from way back then. I feel like my songwriting AND my singing voice have improved but hey, this is a…[more]

The Fruit Fly Sing-Along Tour is over and the whole experience has been joyous, nostalgic, melancholy and galvanizing. Traveling from town-to-town with this time capsule of a low-budget film made it so I was constantly in conversation with crowds of people who had experienced loss and witnessed change since the last time they’d seen the film. The general sentiment during the Fruit Fly Sing-Along Tour was…[more]
During this tour, multiple people (from either the audience or the cast!) have told me that each song hits different in 2025. On July 23, join me, Joshua Grannell (aka Peaches Christ), L.A. Renigen, Aaron Zaragoza and Christian Cagigal for the SING-ALONG FRUIT FLY at The Roxie! Lyrics will be…[more]
We didn’t even know we were eligible! The Daydream Believers was a project, a curation that I carefully chose and mapped to mimic the beats of a narrative feature film, complete with thematic callbacks a finale and a poignant button. And a finale LOL. But still, I was aiming to emulate the “feel” of a feature film; I didn’t realize the jury saw The Daydream Believers as an actual…[more]
THE DAYDREAM BELIEVERS
Six Filipino-American directors. One American Dream. Welcome to the diaspora.
I’ve been watching a lot, a LOT of short films made by and starring Filipino-Americans over the past year and I’m proud to present a shorts program that I curated to feel like a feature film. It’s called The Daydream Believers and it’s screening at…[more]
Click in below to see my Instagram post about the event. It was a riot. I performed Tom Robinson’s “Glad to be Gay” because it’s the song I performed in the Castro when DOMA was struck down in 2013 - that’s when I got married to Mark Del Lima, who I’d been with for 7 years already at that point.
And with the kind of coding applied to the defunding of organizations around us…[more]
Are we going to let all of our beloved arts institutions disappear? NO!!! Put your queer money where your queer mouth is and rock out at this punked out fundraiser for the @thechancenter where I’ll be performing with a group of queer punk drag legends assembled by Peaches Christ and Edwin Outwater! May 22 at 8pm. Come shout with…[more]
I intended to throw myself a Mission Arcade birthday party, or at least do a 15-minute Online Birthday Party like I did last year, but this year …[more]
Because of the uncommonly long festival run we had for I Am a Ghost, people have been confused about when the official anniversary is. The film was shot in 2011, did the United States festival run in 2012, then the European run in 2013. It was released theatrically in 2014 and then on home video in 2015.
Well, now that Level 33 Entertainment is our new distributor, I Am a Ghost is receiving the deluxe Blu-Ray treatment with a new…[more]
Fruit Fly - the very first film I ever directed - has moved to Level 33 Entertainment, the distributor who currently has my most recent film The Secret Art of Human Flight! This is the first time the film has been on HD physical media AND it’s the first time the proper 5.1 soundtrack is being presented. (The previous tracks were mishandled during the ingestion process somewhere, and I’ll tell you what…[more]
