Six Filipino-American directors.
One American Dream.
Welcome to the diaspora.

I’ve been watching a lot, a LOT of short films made by and starring Filipino-Americans over the past year and I’m proud to present a shorts program that I curated to feel like a feature film. It’s called The Daydream Believers and it’s screening at the Ouray International Film Festival on Saturday, June 21 @ 4pm at The Wright Opera House.

It’s going to be a big Filipino day, starting with Don Eblahan’s program, KINONEKTA - his curation of Filipino short films echoing the artistic state of the country and its people followed by a huge Filipino meal crafted and served by FACC - the Filipino American Community of Colorado. Music and dance performances by Padayon Cultural and then closing off with my curation, The Daydream Believers with me and Kayla Abuda Galang in attendance!
